Min's Desk is an independent personal blog operated by Min, a Korean blogger writing under a pen name. This notice explains the services used to deliver the site and how I handle messages sent to [email protected].
On this page: reading the site, site services, advertising and choices, contact email and retention, and privacy requests.
Reading the site
You don't need an account to read Min's Desk. The site does not currently offer visitor accounts, comments, newsletter signups, or a contact form.
Advertising is not currently enabled on Min's Desk. In the site's current configuration, its own code does not set visitor cookies or use browser local storage to store visitor information. Services involved in delivering the site may still process technical data, as described below.
Hosting, analytics, and fonts
Cloudflare Pages and delivery
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect pages. Its handling of service data is described in Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
The public site loads a Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon to collect page-view and performance metrics. I use these metrics to understand site use and how pages load. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as not using cookies or local storage to track visitors; that description applies to this analytics service, not to every hosting or security feature.
See Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation for details. This notice does not specify a fixed retention period for Cloudflare's service data or claim that hosting and security logs are absent.
Google Fonts
Min's Desk loads Inter and Playfair Display from Google Fonts. Your browser requests stylesheets and font files from Google's servers. These requests send Google your IP address and other network and request information.
See the Google Fonts documentation and Google's Privacy Policy for more information.
Advertising and choices
I have applied for Google AdSense, but ads have not been enabled. The following describes what would apply if Google ads are introduced.
Google and other third-party ad providers may then use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other websites. They may process information such as your IP address, page URLs, device and browser details, and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated ads, prevent fraud, and personalize ads where permitted.
Read how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
You can opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. This does not remove all ads or stop all other data processing, and it does not replace the site's consent process if ads are introduced. Your browser may also let you block or delete cookies.
Non-personalized ads can still use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as limiting repeated ads and measuring performance. Consent may still be required for those uses.
Before introducing personalized ads for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, or Switzerland, I will use a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF). I will obtain the necessary consent before using cookies or processing data for purposes that require it. The consent message will identify participating providers and purposes and explain how to refuse or later withdraw consent.
Contact email and retention
Email sent to [email protected] is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to my Gmail inbox. Cloudflare and Google process messages as part of providing those services. A message may contain your email address, its contents, and any attachments you choose to send.
I use this information to respond to your message, check corrections or rights concerns, and handle privacy requests. Please send only what is needed for that purpose.
I keep inquiry emails only while they're needed to handle the inquiry and necessary follow-up. Once they're no longer needed, I delete the messages and unnecessary attachments or separate copies under my control without unnecessary delay. I don't keep ordinary inquiries for an extra fixed period simply because the conversation has ended.
For a correction, I may keep a record of the page, correction date, and change without keeping unnecessary personal details from the original email. If a legal obligation or an active rights or dispute matter requires particular records, I keep only what is needed, manage it separately from ordinary inquiries, and delete it when that need ends. Spam and unnecessary attachments are deleted without unnecessary delay.
This policy covers records I manage. Cloudflare and Google also process service data under their own privacy policies; deletion from my mailbox does not mean that all provider backups or technical logs disappear immediately. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
Questions, corrections, and deletion requests
To ask about your personal information or request correction or deletion, email [email protected]. Identify the message or information involved. I may ask for the minimum information needed to verify that the request concerns you; please don't send an identity document unless we have discussed a necessary, appropriate way to verify the request.
I review requests and delete information that is no longer needed. If particular information must be retained because of a legal obligation or an active matter described above, I'll explain the relevant reason and the scope of what is retained.
Links to other sites
Articles link to official reading platforms and other external sources. Following a link takes you to a separate site with its own privacy practices and terms. Min's Desk does not control those sites.
Changes to this notice
I will update this notice when the site's data practices change. If advertising or other new data-related features are introduced, their providers, data use, and any applicable consent or choice options will be addressed before those features are activated. The date above identifies the latest revision.
