See You in My 19th Life
Last updated October 31, 2026
What would it mean to find someone again when you remember a life they knew you in, but you now have a different name?
See You in My 19th Life begins with that unusual possibility. It’s a Korean romance webtoon by Lee Hye, also adapted into a 2023 live-action drama.
The comic and drama offer two ways into the story. You don’t need to finish one as preparation for the other.
Spoiler level: The opening reincarnation and reunion premise, creator credits, and format names only. No later identities, relationship outcomes, or ending details.
Content note: Death in an accident and the loss of someone close are part of the premise.

What is the story about?
The official English WEBTOON introduction calls the heroine Jieum Ban. She remembers her past lives. After an accident ends her eighteenth life, she wants to reconnect with people from it in her nineteenth.
That makes memory important before any complicated explanation of reincarnation. A relationship that belongs to her past may still matter to her present, even though she is approaching it as a different person.
It’s a useful question to carry into the beginning: what does she remember, and what can the person in front of her recognize? You can follow that question without looking up the later rules or revelations.
Who created the webtoon?
The current English WEBTOON listing credits Lee Hye. The Korean Naver WEBTOON listing credits 이혜 for the writing and artwork.
Those are the original comic’s credits. The television version has its own actors and production credits.
Both official comic listings mark the work as complete. That describes its publication status; the episodes you can open and any unlocking conditions depend on the edition and service.
How does the drama fit?
The Netflix listing identifies the screen version as a 2023 Korean drama based on a webtoon. Its introduction uses Ban Ji-eum for the heroine and lists Shin Hae-sun and Ahn Bo-hyun among the starring actors.
The drama returns to the reincarnation-and-reunion setup through performances and television episodes. It is an adaptation to choose alongside the original comic, rather than a sequel to read after the webtoon ends.
If the names look different between a comic listing and a streaming page, keep the edition in mind. The starting guide below separates the naming and access routes.
Where should you begin?
For the original comic in English, start at the official WEBTOON series page. For the live-action route, check See You in My 19th Life on Netflix in your country.
My webtoon-or-drama starting guide helps you choose a format, find the Korean original, understand the title’s reincarnation premise, and switch versions without relying on a chapter-to-episode chart.
For the wording behind 이번 생도 잘 부탁해, the Korean title explanation unpacks “this life too,” the request in 잘 부탁해, and the relationship question it brings to the opening.
For my response to the original comic, the See You in My 19th Life webtoon review follows Jieum’s determination, Seoha’s hesitant care, and the quiet panels that made me slow down.
Official format and access information checked: October 29, 2026. App requirements, episode access, regional catalogs, and language options may change.
