Weak Hero

Last updated November 1, 2026

Looking physically vulnerable doesn’t tell you how someone will respond to being cornered.

That’s the opening idea behind Weak Hero, a Korean school-action webtoon in which a calculating student unsettles a hierarchy built on intimidation. It also became the live-action drama Weak Hero Class 1 and its continuation, Weak Hero Class 2.

The webtoon is the original comic. Class 1 and Class 2 are the screen adaptation, rather than two additional comics to place after it.

Let me separate those routes before you choose one.

Spoiler level: Opening premises, creator credits, and format names only. No later injuries, character outcomes, or ending details.

Content note: School bullying, intimidation, and physical violence. A school setting here doesn’t mean a light campus story.

What is Weak Hero about?

The official English WEBTOON introduction begins with a school environment where stronger students intimidate weaker ones.

Gray doesn’t look like the person who will disturb that arrangement. His approach to confrontation, however, makes him difficult to dismiss on appearance alone.

That contrast gives a newcomer enough of the premise: intelligence and physical force don’t occupy the same place in this school’s hierarchy.

The drama introduces its central student as Yeon Si-eun, played by Park Ji-hoon. Netflix’s official Class 1 feature introduces the adaptation through Si-eun and the students around him. The feature includes additional character and plot descriptions, so save it for later if you want the least possible advance information.

Who created the original webtoon?

The English edition credits SEOPASS for the writing and RAZEN for the artwork.

Those are the original comic’s creative roles. Drama cast and production credits belong to the adaptation, so a screen listing won’t necessarily present the names in the same way as the comic.

The Korean original has an official Naver WEBTOON listing. The English comic is published on WEBTOON under Weak Hero and is marked Completed.

That publication label doesn’t establish which episodes are free or available in a desktop browser. Use the edition’s own current access information.

Which version should you begin with?

Choose the webtoon if you want the original comic’s published sequence and visual storytelling.

Choose the drama if you’d rather begin with actors, performances, and episodes. Follow Class 1 before Class 2.

You don’t need to alternate between the comic and drama. They are separate ways into the property, with their own introductions and arrangement of material.

The Weak Hero starting guide covers that choice, the different character-name presentation, official reading routes, and why a drama endpoint isn’t a reliable comic bookmark.

For my response to the original comic, my Weak Hero webtoon review follows Si-eun’s determination, the awkwardness of accepting kindness, and the emotional weight behind its school action.
