Eleceed

Last updated October 31, 2026

A boy quietly helping others and an injured stray cat make a small beginning for a story about extraordinary powers.

In Eleceed, that cat is Kayden, a powerful Awakened being hiding in an unexpected form. Jiwoo, the boy who takes him in, has abilities of his own and little knowledge of the world Kayden comes from.

The Korean webtoon is written by Jeho Son and illustrated by ZHENA. Its official English comic is available on WEBTOON, and a television anime has been announced for April 2027.

Let me separate the original comic, its creators, and the adaptation before you choose where to begin.

Spoiler level: The opening premise, creator credits, and announced formats only. No later battles, character outcomes, or ending details.

Content note: Supernatural combat and injuries are part of the story.

What is Eleceed about?

The official English WEBTOON introduction presents Jiwoo as a kindhearted young man who uses his unusual speed to help people and animals quietly.

Kayden brings a very different history into his home. He is a formidable figure who has been badly injured and taken refuge in a stray cat’s body. Jiwoo’s act of helping him opens a connection to the hidden world of the Awakened.

That gives you two things to follow from the beginning: what Jiwoo can do, and what happens when someone with Kayden’s experience becomes part of his everyday life.

The talking-cat setup introduces the relationship through an ordinary act of care. The wider action grows around people with powers, their associations, and conflicts. You can let the opening explain those relationships before looking up rankings or detailed character histories.

Who created the original webtoon?

The English edition credits Jeho Son for the writing and ZHENA for the artwork. The Korean Naver WEBTOON listing presents those names as 손제호 and 제나.

The English series page also connects Jeho Son with Noblesse and identifies ZHENA as the artist of Girls of the Wild’s. Those creator credits can help you recognize the names when moving between Korean and English listings.

Eleceed is published as a scrolling webtoon. The anime is a screen adaptation with its own production team, so keep the comic’s creative roles separate from the animation credits.

What has been announced for the anime?

The official English anime announcement dated October 21, 2026 states an April 2027 premiere and provides an English trailer.

WEBTOON Entertainment’s production announcement identifies DandeLion Animation Studio as the animation studio. That is the screen production; the Jeho Son and ZHENA credits above belong to the original webtoon.

For now, the comic is the available starting route covered here. The announced month doesn’t provide an exact broadcast day or a comic chapter where an anime season will end.

Where should you begin?

For the original in English, begin with Episode 1 on the official WEBTOON edition.

My Eleceed starting and official-reading guide explains the website and app notices, the Korean original, the announced anime, and the different names you may encounter in Japanese promotional material.

If you’re deciding whether the comic suits your taste, my Eleceed webtoon review follows Jiwoo’s kindness, Kayden’s prickly care, and the parts of its long-running action rhythm that worked less well for me.

Official format, publication, and access information checked: October 30, 2026. Episode access and adaptation plans may change.
