Tower of God Reading Order: Webtoon, Anime & Urek Mazino

By Published Updated

Spoiler level: None. This guide covers reading order and anime-to-webtoon starting points without revealing major story events.

Finished watching Tower of God and want to continue the story in the original webtoon?

There’s a straightforward place to start after each anime season. The confusing part is that the anime and WEBTOON use different season and episode numbering systems.

And then there’s Tower of God: Urek Mazino, a separate spin-off that takes place earlier in the Tower’s history.

You don’t need to work out a complicated timeline to enjoy them. Here’s where to begin, depending on what you’ve already watched or read.

Tower of God Reading Order at a Glance

Tower of God reading order and recommended starting points
Your situationRecommended starting point
Completely new to Tower of GodMain webtoon — Season 1, Ep. 0

Finished anime Season 2 (2024, 26 episodes)Main webtoon — Season 2, Ep. 111

These are continuation points, not exact scene-by-scene matches. If you want the original dialogue, pacing, and details of the adapted story, reading the webtoon from an earlier point is also a good option.

All chapter numbers in this guide refer to the official English WEBTOON edition.

New to Tower of God? Start with Season 1, Episode 0

If you haven’t read or watched any version, begin with the original webtoon.

Its first installment on English WEBTOON is labeled [Season 1] Ep. 0, followed by Episode 1.

Yes, Episode 0. It’s an actual installment, not a numbering mistake.

Start Tower of God at Season 1, Ep. 0 on WEBTOON

The webtoon introduces Bam, the Tower, and its unfamiliar rules in the order SIU originally presented them.

You don’t need to watch the anime beforehand. You also don’t need to read the Urek Mazino spin-off first.

If you’re still deciding whether the original suits you, my Tower of God webtoon review covers the comic’s large world, character dynamics, and uneven pacing.

Where to Read After Tower of God Anime Season 1

Start with [Season 2] Ep. 0 of the webtoon.

The first anime season aired in 2020 and contains 13 episodes. It adapts the opening season of the original comic, which runs through [Season 1] Ep. 78.

If you’ve watched the full first anime season and want to continue directly, use this link:

Continue after anime Season 1 — Webtoon Season 2, Ep. 0

The webtoon’s second season begins with another Episode 0, so don’t skip straight to Episode 1.

Is it worth reading the first webtoon season anyway?

It depends on what you’re looking for.

If your priority is finding out what happens next, you can move directly to Season 2, Episode 0.

If you’d rather experience the original version, start with Season 1, Episode 0. The anime and webtoon have different pacing and presentation, and the comic gives you the original sequence of dialogue, explanations, and character interactions.

There’s no requirement to reread everything before continuing. It’s simply a choice between moving ahead quickly and exploring the source material more fully.

Where to Read After Tower of God Anime Season 2

Start with [Season 2] Ep. 111 of the webtoon.

The second anime season aired in 2024 and contains 26 episodes, covering Return of the Prince and Workshop Battle.

Its final episode concludes the Workshop Battle storyline.

That portion of the story reaches approximately [Season 2] Ep. 110 in the original webtoon, making Episode 111 the practical next chapter.

Continue after anime Season 2 — Webtoon Season 2, Ep. 111

This recommendation is based on where the adapted storyline ends. It doesn’t mean every scene, line of dialogue, or explanation matches perfectly between the two versions.

If you’d prefer a little overlap before moving into new material, you can begin with Season 2, Ep. 110.

And if you want to experience the entire material covered by the 2024 anime in its original form, go back to Season 2, Episode 0.

What if you’ve only watched Return of the Prince?

Return of the Prince covers the first part of the 2024 anime season. Workshop Battle follows it.

If you’ve only watched the first part, Episode 111 is too far ahead.

You can finish the 2024 anime season or begin the webtoon’s Season 2 at Episode 0.

That avoids relying on an uncertain episode-by-episode conversion halfway through the adaptation.

Why Don’t the Anime and Webtoon Episode Numbers Match?

There are three numbering systems that can appear when searching for Tower of God chapters.

1. Anime season and episode numbers

These refer to television episodes. Anime Season 2, Episode 26 is the last episode of the 2024 television season.

2. Webtoon season and episode numbers

The original comic has its own seasons. Each episode is identified within that season, such as [Season 2] Ep. 111.

3. WEBTOON’s URL episode numbers

WEBTOON links also contain a number representing the installment’s place in the platform’s overall sequence.

For example, the official link to [Season 2] Ep. 111 contains episode_no=191.

That does not mean you should search for Season 2, Episode 191.

The chapter label on the WEBTOON page is the one to follow.

This is especially important when reading advice online. A recommendation to start at “chapter 111” can be confusing if it doesn’t specify the webtoon’s season.

The links in this guide lead directly to the intended English WEBTOON episodes.

When Should You Read Tower of God: Urek Mazino?

Tower of God: Urek Mazino is an official spin-off set in the same fictional world.

It explores an earlier period of Urek Mazino’s life rather than continuing Bam’s story from the main webtoon.

But earlier in the fictional timeline doesn’t necessarily mean earlier in the recommended reading order.

The main webtoon introduces the Tower’s setting, its characters, and the significance of different people within that world.

The spin-off approaches that world from another perspective.

For readers who want to encounter the main series’ discoveries in their original order, it’s sensible to become familiar with the main webtoon before exploring Urek’s story.

You don’t have to finish every available main-series episode before trying the spin-off. There’s no single official crossover chapter that everyone must reach first.

If avoiding advance knowledge is especially important to you, catching up with the available main story is the more cautious option.

If you’re already comfortable with the setting and particularly interested in Urek, you can explore the spin-off sooner.

Most importantly, you do not need to alternate between the two series chapter by chapter. They have separate episode lists.

What If You Prefer the Anime?

You can start with the anime. Reading the webtoon first isn’t a requirement.

My Tower of God anime review (Seasons 1–2) shares what drew me to the tests and Khun, how the music helped the tension, and where the fast pace left me wanting more room.

The practical choice depends on your goal.

If you want to follow the story as it was originally published, begin with the webtoon.

If you prefer watching animated episodes, enjoy the anime and use the continuation points above when you’re ready to read further.

Just remember that the television adaptation and original comic aren’t arranged into identical seasons. Matching season numbers don’t guarantee matching story boundaries.

The Short Version

For most readers, the decision comes down to three starting points:

  • First time: Webtoon Season 1, Ep. 0.
  • After the 2020 anime: Webtoon Season 2, Ep. 0.
  • After the complete 2024 anime: Webtoon Season 2, Ep. 111.

The Urek Mazino spin-off is optional additional reading, not a missing step between the anime and the main webtoon.

If you’re unsure whether to jump ahead or revisit adapted material, ask yourself what matters more right now: reaching the next part of the story or experiencing the original version of what you’ve already watched.

Either choice can work. The important thing is knowing where the versions connect—and where their numbering doesn’t.

WEBTOON chapter labels and links checked on October 15, 2026. Anime continuation points are practical recommendations based on adaptation coverage, not an official chapter-by-chapter conversion chart.
